The Bouvier des Flandres, also known as Flanders Cattle Dog, Koehond, Vlaamse Koehond, Toucheur de Boeuf, or Vuilbaard was originally bred in Flanders as a farm dog. It continues to be used for herding and cart pulling, as well as guard work. This highly intelligent dog breed is also valued as a family pet because of its gentle and loyal nature.
